How we collect and use personal information

We collect personal information from you when you request that a copy of ‘Call to Prayer’ be sent to you by post. We also collect personal information from you when you make a donation. We hold and use your information in order to carry out your specific instructions and to reclaim tax on Gift Aid donations if applicable. We will not seek to contact you for any other purpose.

The personal information we hold is limited to the following categories: name and address and, if supplied, telephone number, email address and church link. We also
keep financial records as required by law.

We will not share your information with third parties unless the law requires us to do so.

We hold your data for varying lengths of time depending on the type of information in question but in doing so we always comply with Data Protection legislation. If you inform us that you no longer wish to receive Call to Prayer we will delete your related information within one month of receiving notification.

Your information rights and choices

Under Data Protection legislation, you have the right to request access to information about you that we hold. To make a request for your personal information contact the trustees.

You also have the right to

  • object to processing of personal data that is likely to cause, or is causing, damage or distress;
  • prevent processing for the purpose of direct marketing;
  • object to decisions being taken by automated means;
  • in certain circumstances, have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed; and
  • claim compensation for damages caused by a breach of the Data Protection regulations.
